Using Polylang with existing translation set-up

    I am attempting to incorporate Polylang into a site I am working on alongside existing custom translations done with ACF. The plan is to use GDPR Cookie Consent by WebToffee for the site’s cookie/privacy policies. This has Polylang integration hence the reason the idea behind using Polylang to translate the plugin text.

    I was wondering if there was a way to hook into Polylang and add the the functionality to change the language of the using the site’s existing language switcher? At the moment, the only way of doing it on the site is by adding the Polylang switcher to the menu and switching with that.

    The obvious issue here is that the rest of the site translation is done elsewhere so this only switches over the plugin language. It would be great to be able to switch both the site and GDPR plugin translation over using the same language switcher we already have.

    The site link provided has server authentication on it, I would prefer to share this login information privately if it was needed to look at the site rather than post it directly on here.
