• I am looking to replace some very old websites with WordPress. Each of the old sites are for a seperate location (town), so each site is more or less identical in terms of layout, pages etc – its just the on-page content that changes. Similarly – the new WordPress versions of the sites will be based on a single template that then gets its own unique content.

So. If I use Redirect to set up … redirects, on the “master” site – will that then adapt and work if I use Duplicator to clone the template and save it into its new domain?

Hope that all makes sense and I appreciate the help.

I’ve never used Duplicator and don’t know how it works. If you or it copy the redirection database tables to another website then it will have the same redirects.

Ah well thanks for the reply. I guess one way or the other I will find out soon enough as I am not far off from rolling out the new sites.

I’ll post a followup here to report on what happens – both for yourself and anyone else who comes across this thread in the future with similar question.
