I’ve been choosing to toggle off my sharing with Jetpack Social since I only get so many shares per 30 days, but I’ve just noticed even with sharing toggled off when I create the post, after I publish I show less shares than before. I’m trying to save my shares for key content (I only post once a day) so this bug feels more like a marketing gimmick.

Hey there! I just chatted with our development team about this, it’s most likely a bug. Did you notice if your share count goes back up after a brief amount of time? There’s a chance it’s a temporarily hold type situation.

In any case, it’s been logged with the team to investigate!

When I logged in today I had 9 shares. I’ve scheduled a couple of posts for later this week, each time disabling the share option, but the count keeps going down.

Thank you for logging the bug. I look forward to hearing when it’s fixed.

    Hello @wanderingappalachia.

Our development team has confirmed that this is a bug with scheduled posts.

We should have a fix for it soon, but in the meantime, if you disable each of the connections individually but leave the ‘Share when publishing’ toggle enabled, the shares should be counted correctly.

    Thanks!
