Using shortcode and related only with category

Hi there.
Im using a Gridstack theme and there i have posts and portfolio.
My posts are the Client and my portfolio are my Projects… In the bottom of each page Client i need related the Projects (portfolio), i try to use category to do that but it fails, keep me bring some Project that dont have the same category, is that possible?
