• I use an elementor sign up form to get leads. I want to add a hidden field which the users don’t see, but with a default value to pass information of the current date.

I created a shortcode for the date [get-the-date] but adding the shortcode into the default value of the hidden field does not pass the information but only returns the text “[get-the-date]”.

How can I get the hidden field to pass the date of today?

Seprately, I don’t seem to find any option to add the “current date” anywhere in Elementor (I have Pro), seems you need a plugin to do this… Might be useful widget to add to the default Elementor setup.
