Hello! Has anyone tried using Simply Static with WebP Express or something similar? I’ve set up WebP Express both in Varied image response and CDN friendly mode – I’m only getting some WebP images, mostly PNGs and JPGs.

Did you manage to get full WebP replacement? How?

    Thanks!

    Hey @dragoscristache,

I implemented support for WEBP by using the <picture> tag.

This was the most common way to handle that without requiring a specific server type to handle the delivery (like with NGINX or APACHE).

One plugin that currently works with that is: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/imagify/

    Best regards,

I’d previously converted images using EWWW Image Optimizer and wasn’t looking forward to re-converting them with Imagify.

Fortunately I didn’t need to re-convert them, just activate the plugin and get an API. After that the WebP images then get exported with the other image formats.

    Thanks for this amazing plugin!
