Using Solr or ElasticSearch with WP?

Hello,
Does anybody have a solution on how to best implement Solr or ES to be used with WP? I have both servers running and have tested every plugin available, for each, but none work 100%.

WPSolr is very buggy with several people reporting the same issues – it seems to not index properly.

ElasticSearch indexes very quickly, and searches just as fast – if not faster – than Solr – but getting the search UI on the front-end working is proving very difficult – even using ElasticPRESS (the backend works great and if you don’t need a shiny, pretty front-end with filtering and sorting, then it works OOTB).

This is becoming a full-time job…am I the only one??? LOL

Any help out there?

ps…I have 104,000 posts at this time…with both Solr or ES a search takes milliseconds….with the WP default search it’s averaging 15-25 seconds.
