using subcategories

  • I’m making my first wordpress site

    I decided to use subcategories as well as tags because sometimes i figured a user might want to see a tag only under one category and that doesn’t seem possible to me.
    Because when you press a tag it shows ALL posts under that tag not just from one category.
    tags i figure are good when all categories share this common tag.

    now if I am using subcategories is it normal to have a subcategory of the same name for 2 separate category parents?
    also both the category and the subcategory show up under the post where i show where the post is tagged and its categories? is that bad or good? or its really up to me?
