    Question regarding a client’s WordPress-WooCommerce site:

I am successfully using Client Dash as a plugin for my client’s eCommerce site. He has a profile of “Shop Manager” with a simple to use menu, created thanks to Client Dash. I have successfully installed other plugins for my client to use, one example is WP Statistics Version 11.0.2. He sees the plugins and can use them the same way I can as an Administrator.

However, when I add the TablePress plugin to his menu, it shows up but if he clicks it to open TablePress it gives him an error: “Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.”

For me, as an Administrator role it works just fine, but for my client as a Store Manager role it gives him that error. I need him to access TablePress so that he can start working with tables in Pages/Posts.

I am seeking a simple and quick answer, one might be that I simply create a new Admin profile for him with a new name and password just so he can access this plugin, but that’s inconvenient?

    Hi,

thanks for your question, and sorry for the trouble.

The reason for this is that TablePress does not add the necessary access capabilities to your custom “Shop Manager” role (because it can not know if and what a user with that role is allowed to do).

You will therefore have to add the relevant access capabilities manually, e.g. by using the Members plugin from https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/members/ which offers a nice Role Manager feature.
Using that plugin, you can add the desired capabilities/access rights to the Shop Manager role. For a list of available capabilities, please see https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/tablepress-admin-capabilites-problems/#post-3524864

Thank you so much for this! I gave my client multiple user roles and he was able to access/edit/create the tables and work with the TablePress plugin using the Author and Editor roles.

P.S.: In case you haven’t, please rate TablePress here in the plugin directory. Thanks!
