    Hi,

is it possible to filter the options of recipes in the drop-down field for meal plans using tags?

    E. g. we have created a tag called cost, which we use to mark low-cost-recipes. Now it would be cool, if we could offer an interactive meal-plan, where all the recipes shown in the drop-dow-menue are marked with this tag.

    Hi Henner,

It’s possible to filter the recipes shown in the grid down by the recipes that are displayed in a grid. You’d use a shortcode like this then:

    [ultimate-recipe-meal-planner posts_from_grid="your-grid"]

You don’t need to display that grid anywhere, it’s just a bit of a workaround because all the functionality of limiting posts by category, tag, date, author, … is already available for grids.

    Kind regards,
    Brecht

    Hi Brecht,

    thanks for the quick response!

Unfortunately I don’t know yet how to apply your advice. Where do I have to use the shortcode and what is “your-grid” (our tag cost or the value low-cost)?

    Best regards

I assumed you were referring to the Meal Planner feature in our Premium plugin. You add that Meal Planner with a shortcode.

If you’re using the free version I’m afraid the Meal Planner is not available.

I am using the premium plugin and now my first question is answered, but if I substitute “your-grid” with either the tag “Kosten” or the value “Low Budget” (https://prntscr.com/c4t9l7) I can’t see a difference, there are still all recipes shown in the drop-down menu (https://prntscr.com/c4ta8e), even though there is only one recipe tagged with “Low Budget”. That “your-grid” is the name of the grid you have to create first. In the grid you limit the posts by that tag.

There’s a video lesson on how to create a grid on our website: https://www.wpultimaterecipe.com/docs/021-new-recipe-grid

Wow, I am really impressed what is possible with your plugins!

Finally I found a way to filter the entries for the drop-down-menu, thanks a lot!
