Using taxonomy image with custom get_terms

I really love this plugin. It’s working great! I’ve a question for using it within my custom query to get the terms. I’m using a custom query instead of get_terms, so I can link two taxonomies to each other. Unfortunately, I can’t use the “apply_filters( ‘taxonomy-images-get-terms’ [..]” for this. Is there a way to get the image of the taxonomy inside the foreach loop without having to use this filter? Is it in a way linked to a term id or slug? I would really appreciate your help. Thanks in advance!
