• Hello everyone! I noticed that in the customizer tab of WordPress I’m able to edit the layout, text and images as well as add widgets & other useful modules on the front-end. However, when I go to do this on other pages in order to keep brand consistency, it doesn’t allow this. I understand that we’re able to purchase pages builder plugins, however, I simply want to make my website congruent. Can someone help me? Basically, the question is: How can I visually edit more than the front/home page in the WordPress customizer Section??

  • The Customizer is only for the appearance of your site, so most of the options in there are provided by the theme. Each theme provides different options. Plugins can also supply options.
Apparently, your theme has several options for the home page. It is the theme’s job to present all the pages consistently, but the theme should not interact with the content of your pages.
If you try different themes, you will see that not all have options for the home page.

There is work in progress for WordPress to provide what is being called “Full Site Editing”, but it isn’t done yet. It will be more like the block editor than the Customizer.

Thank you for the information! Right now I’m using the Hoot Business Theme. in the demo it shows different content layouts for pages and other things, however I can’t edit my pages to match this particular layout. If it was just “home page editable” then that’s what it should say prior to purchase. My front end looks spectacular! ——> https://memphiswordpress.com

https://wphoot.com/themes/hoot-business/ is the theme, if you look at certain things on each page carefully it shows obvious page editing capabilities. I even have their plugin!

If your site is on wordpress.com, what I wrote here might not apply to you, since this is for the software provided at www.ads-software.com.
Otherwise, you should ask all theme questions at the theme’s support forum.
Commercial themes can code different things than are allowed in the free themes of the WordPress repository, and are not supported here, as we have no access to the product (and they can’t support their products here).
