• Installed this plugin but can’t get the translations to work at all. I’d need to have the plugin in finnish and I donwloaded the finnish translation pack but no matter where I put it, it doesn’t work.

    Would appreciate any ideas!

The current translations for the plugin are these:

    Deutsch
    Espa?ol de Argentina
    Fran?ais
    Nederlands
    Norsk bokm?l
    ?e?tina?

If one of those is not the one you are looking for then that means no one has translated the plugin for that language yet.

I think what @mmoovs is asking, like me at https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/translation-706/, is in which plugin folder we have to put downloaded .po and .mo files. But there is no answer. I do not think it’s a very difficult question to answer. There is no folder? Is it a state secret? Should we try all the possibilities to find the solution?

    Thanks in advance.

That’s right @mmeida. @nickyoung87 you say those are the current translations but how do we use something else than those? Like I said I tried to put the files everywhere but nothing happens.

I can even create the finnish translation and make it available to everyone but just need to know how. Even though the finnish translation can be found from the wp translation repo (not 100% translated).. How does one push it to production?

Hi @mmoovs. I’ve found the solution. You must upload the files to wp-content/languages/plugins folder.

    Just it.

@mmeida I also tried them there, no help. Do I need a subfolder there or just put the files there? The files are now in the plugins folder:

    /wp-content/languages/plugins/google-calendar-events-fi.po
    /wp-content/languages/plugins/google-calendar-events-fi.mo

I just put the files inside the ‘plugins’ folder, not subfolder, and it works for me.

    Hello,

First off, I apologize for the delay.

Were you able to get it figured out? I know in the past that we had to go through a few hoops to get you added and allow you to translate the plugin officially. I will look into that a bit and see if we can get you added here if you would like.
