Using translations?
-
Good evening,
I feel really stupid for asking this question but I cannot find out how to do it. I’m asking more for the general guidelines and pointers to the documentation.I have my site installed on my web host via a one click installer. It’s an English version of WordPress so the translations are not included.
I have some questions for how to use translations:
1). Are there any plugins that can search and download the official translations for WordPress, themes and plugins? Intuitively that seems to be a good way to install translations? Or?
2). And if not – how do you work with translations? I tried to read the documentations for translations but I always got lead into the documentation for how to make translations rather than how to install them myself. I’ve been committing translations to Drupal before so I know PoEdit but step one for me would be to be able to use them ??
3). Where do I download translations for plugins and themes? And how do I install them?
5). I tried to export the MO-files for the theme twenty fourteen on https://translate.www.ads-software.com/projects/wp/dev/twentyfourteen/sv/default rename it to sv_SE.mo, set the WPLANG variable in wp-config but it seems as I missed something. Any ideas? Or how should I do it?
Thanks a lot for all help!
