using wordpress as a document management platform

    I would like to create a website which enables users to upload a document (in word format). the website will use a back-end database to store the documents by fields (i.e take relevant parts of the document and store each part in the relevant field). users will have the option to preview the document before choosing to store it.

    users will have to logon to the website in order to perform these actions

    I need some guidance before starting this project. Is that that kind of website is feasible by using wordpress as a platform?
