• I have a client whose site will be mostly static. The only thing they want to be able to update is a News sidebar on the homepage. At first I was thinking of just using a CushyCMS-type solution, but we’ve done a few WP sites now and I wonder if it doesn’t make sense to just use WordPress for the homepage only. Or is it possible to use it only for the News sidebar?

Has anyone heard of using WordPress for a small little part of a site or page? I’d love to hear some opinions on this.

    Thanks,
    Kevin

  • Why not use WP for the whole site. Mainly Page-based but with a single post category and some additional queries to pull this posts wherever needed? I’ve created quite a few non-blog sites like this.

Yep; WordPress will handle this project just fine.
