• Hello all,

Currently, I’m using WordPress for my personal blogging site and Joomla for my business site. My business is very new and really doesn’t need all the features of Joomla and, quite frankly, the admin panel for Joomla is a little confusing. Since my IT consulting business is new, all I really need to do is get some info out to clients and place some news on the front page. Is it possible to build WordPress with a few plug-ins and make it functional as a CMS? I know this is kind of a strange question but I really like the way WordPress works and would love to use it for my business site. Also, is it possible to post some “news” on the front page and not show the creation date or creator’s name?

Thanks for your help and suggestions.

Well, since there has been no reply, I think I’ll give it a shot. The worst thing that can happen is that it won’t work out and I can go back to Joomla or Drupal.

actually, i did search but didn’t find that. thank you for the links….they were very helpful. i always google my questions before asking in a forum.

is there a reason why you replied in this manner? i didn’t mean to offend anyone. since i’m new to wordpress, i thought it might help to ask the question on the forum since i couldn’t find any info when i googled it.

@cm1967, there are a number of topics which appear on the forums with constant frequency, using WordPress as a CMS being one of them. Sometimes the frustration in having to respond to these can show a bit (with moshu it’s often more than a bit ;) ).

However, don’t take it to mean you’ve offended anyone.
