Using WP-Creativix Theme. Ned help customizing

  • I have no idea why customizing themes seems to be so difficult for me. I have tried several, but they never look like I want them to look, nor do they look like the demo.

    Anyway…I’m considering using the WP-Creative theme, but have a few questions. There is a slideshow on the front page. I would rather it not scroll, and have a static intro. post. Any idea how I can do that ?

    Also: Any idea how I can reduce the spacing between the social buttons (located at top right) and logo/search area ?

  • Hi, I’ve just started using this theme, so please forgive if I mention things you’ve already tried.

    Under the Appearance tab in the admin area, there is a selection titled “WP-Creativix Options” and at the top of the page there are front page settings including one for activating/deactivating the slideshow. I haven’t tried this so I don’t know if it completely removes that part of the page or not.

    Another option may be to only add one post to the slideshow. Then for good measure enter the number “1” in the “Limit Posts/Pages in Slideshow” box on the same screen as mentioned above. I think this works.
