Using WPML & translating the homepage.

Hey there! So I’m using the WPML plugin on a site I’m working on, and I have it working perfectly to translate every page on the site, except for the homepage. In fact, the language switching dialog only shows “English” and not “french” when on the homepage only. And when I try to “Create a translation” of my homepage, it doesn’t link up to my current homepage in English. The theme I’m using is called “Blue Grey White”.

Is there something I’m missing in the plugins functionality ? Is it just a silly limitation ? Is there some sort of relatively easy workaround, without choosing another plugin ?

Please advise, somebody. I’m at a loss here, and I don’t want to spend too much time re-doing anything, when it’s already all there.
