Hello,

Just wondering if there is a way to use the plugin inside templates, not just per shortcode. The way the single post pages are designed do not allow for the ratings being inserted with the content.

Also a second question: The ratings are for videos that will be shown on a landing page, listed as tiles. I tried to insert the ratings into a loop with the shortcode “[yasr_overall_rating size=”small”]”, but the code gets displayed as clear text. The problem could be that I am using the plugin “Custom Content Types”, although I think it’s rather looping back to my first question: the ratings need to be inserted through the template code…

Hi, YASR was build to work only in a post or page and only via shortcode, so it will no work in other ways, sorry!

I made this plugin beacause I needed a plugin that could replace gd star rating on my website. I used it via shortcode so I built a plugin that could work via shortcode, just because it’s the only way that I needed.

Hovewer, I made a little search and found this https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Function_Reference/do_shortcode

I can’t try it right now, could work for your purpose?

of course not: in last version I did minor changes in snippet code and I’ve done a mistake. I’ve already fixed, this fix will be online in yasr 0.4.9
