USPS Basic – Shipping Tax within the same State as Store

    Hi,

    I am trying to exclude the Tax for shipping within the same state as the store.
    For example, tax should not be calculated on shipping price if the customer wants the item shipped to MN and the store origin is in MN.

    Anyway I can accomplish this?

  • Hi brafal,

    You can use WooCommerce->Settings->Tax to manage tax for a particular state.
    From there you can choose whether to apply taxes on shipping or not using the “Shipping” field.

    Since this is not a feature of our plugin, we request you to approach woocommerce support for any customization.

    Thank you MickeyWf. After I wrote the post I figured out how to properly configure the Tax options so that only one State doesn’t add tax on shipping.

    Basically I had to enter each US state and add only one exception to the state in question.

    This was easily achieved by exporting a Tax sample CSV and populating it with all of the states and importing it back to Woocommerce Tax Options.
