• Hep hey ppl.

I recently changed server host, and in doing so I had to download my database, and upload it at the new place. And _that_ is where I think things went wrong (or maybe it was when I updated WP, 2 secs after). Anyhow, all my Danish characters and special stuff like “é” etc etc. have been converted to UFT-8 characters.

    Look here e.g. https://aoos.dk/blog/2007/05/20/br%c3%a6k-og-knald/

I’ve checked myPHPadmin and it is set for UTF-8 Unicode and my WP is set for UTF-8. Can anybody tell me how I convert my database back to normal? (FYI in my DB the WP-related characters are wrong, but all my other stuff (I have a few fora) is untouched.)

    Thanks in advance.

    somebody, please help me..

Most likely that is the result of the server change – if the version and the collation of the two MySQL databases were not exactly the same, it happens all the time.
It has been a bug in the evolution of MySQL, even this forum became victim of it during a huge upgrade a while ago.

You may try a plugin called search and replace and you may run it through your blog DB – once for each character.
    Sorry, I don’t have any better idea…
