v10 changed my site theme and killed my site

  • Two days ago my site was running a particular custom theme.

    Today my SSL renewal failed and my host said they had errors on the front end. I checked and the site was trying to load the classicpress-twentyseventeen theme (which may have been the default on installation but has long since been removed).

    The only thing I did during those 2 days was update Shield from 9.2.1 to 10 (remotely, via MainWP).

    I also found that v10 is now complaining about ClassicPress core files, when v9 did not.

    I’ve rolled back and will stay on 9.2.1 until I can be confident that these problems are resolved.
