With the v1.3.3 update my existing BSTMCE widgets display erratically, and when I try to create new ones, they end up as blanks in the Inactive Widgets Area. Using U-design theme, Display Widgets PI (though deactivating either of those made no difference). Could someone please provide a link so I can revert to the last version until this is solved? Thank you!

    Hi there,
you may download previous versions from here.
Please could you provide more details of your problem (see the FAQ for detailed issue reports).

Sorry about that… needed to revert asap. That worked.

New Visual Editor widgets created after the update to 1.3.1 end up saved without content in the “Inactive Widgets” section. Previously created Visual Editor widgets display in their respective sidebars. Also, I can get newly created VE widgets to display properly in the footer “sidebar,” but not in page sidebars.

Here are some more details. I have another site with the same configuration, except that it still has version 1.3.1 of BSTMCE, and it seems to be running normally.

    WP 3.8.2 Firefox, Mac OS 10.8.5, Theme: U-Design 2.4
    PI List:
    Black Studio TinyMCE Widget
    Envato WordPress Toolkit
    Revolution Slider
    The Events Calendar
    The Events Calendar Category Colors
    The Events Calendar PRO
    The Events Calendar Widget
    U-Design Shortcode Insert Button
Ultimate Maintenance Mode (Maint mode active)
    WPBakery Visual Composer (Inactive)

No JS warnings or errors in Firebug console

    One jquery warning:
Use of getPreventDefault()is deprecated. Use defaultPrevented instead.

Hope this is helpful. It’s an awesome plugin!

    Hi,
I tried to recreate the same enviroment as yours, with the same theme and plugins, but I was not able to reproduce the issue. Everything is working fine for me even for Pages sidebar. The only difference compared to your setup is that I have U-Design 2.4.1 and I do not have The Events Calendar PRO, for which I currently don’t have a license.
Could you try to update the theme to version 2.4.1 and temporary disable The Events Calendar PRO plugin?

Moreover could you try with a different browser / os?

Which of the following method are you using to put a widget in a sidebar?
    1. Classic Drag & Drop
    2. Click widget and select Sidebar from the dropdown
    3. Accessibility mode

Lastly, which language is set on your WP site?

Hi. Thanks so much for your reply. No difference with Events Calendar Pro deactivated. I tried a clean setup of the same, including Events Calendar Pro 3.5, and I cannot reproduce the problem either… I’m going to try a clean install on the problem site and see what happens.

To answer your questions…. Widget placement was done by method 2.
    Language is English.

I’ll let you know what happens with clean install — probably not until tomorrow some time, however.

Okay, rather than wait until I had time to do a complete clean install, I just deleted and re-installed BSTMCE plugin instead. Now it seems to be working just fine! Next time, I’ll try that _before_ I panic!

Many thanks for your help and your work on the great plugin!

Thanks for your update. I’m glad that your issue disappeared after reinstall. I suppose it was related to some problem occurred during the previous installation.
