Hey everyone, I’ve been working on lots of new updates to this plugin for v3.0.0, and after a round of betas I have a release candidate ready for testing.

NOTE: Advanced Custom Fields version 5.7+ is required. Previous versions had supported ACF 4.x, so make sure you are up to date!

I am looking for a variety of testers, including those who plan to stick with the FontAwesome 4.x icon set.

    To download:

    1. Navigate to the ‘advanced‘ view of this plugin
    2. Scroll to the bottom and look for the “PREVIOUS VERSIONS” heading
    3. Select “3.0.0-rc1” from the list, and click download

Once you have the RC1 zip, you can either uninstall your current version of this plugin and install the zip from the WP-Admin plugin manager, or you can manually replace the files in your plugins directory. Do whichever is more comfortable to you.

Please report back your findings, even if it is just to say that everything is working well for you. Please include:

    • Which version of FontAwesome icons you are using (4.x or 5.x)
    • If you are experiencing issues, please give detailed steps to reproduce the issue, include screenshots if helpful, or even an export of the troublesome field group

Thank you in advanced to anyone who steps up to help test!

  • Hi, I’m testing v3.0 RC1 on a WP site with WooCommerce & Storefront child theme. The plugin works very well. The only issue I found is:

    – create new field group with a Fontawesome field
    – tick both solid and regular
    – click to update field group
    – re-open field – only solid is ticked

    Screenshot is here

    Fontawesome version: 5
    ACF 5.7.7 Pro

    Hey Edith,

Thanks for testing! I was able to duplicate the bug and will be working on a fix. Please let me know if you run into anything else.

I’ve put out a new RC2 fixing this and another bug. I am not going to make a new post about the RC2, but if anyone can test with this new version it would be much appreciated!

    Thanks,

    Matt Keys

Thank you for the quick reply! I’ve installed RC2 and the bug is fixed ?? If I come across anything else, I’ll let you know. Works great!
