• With the new top bar experiment active, how/where does one exit the Elementor editor using a mouse to go back to the dashboard?

I’m currently running v3.13.0 but same question applies to earlier versions.

  • Hi

Can you please send me a link to your site?

Why? This question has nothing to do with one particular site. I work on dozens of Elementor sites and my question applies to all of them.

Either the exit button is there and I am just not seeing it, in which case someone kindly sharing a screen shot would close the issue, or the exit button is not there and evidently the Elementor developers did not think it was valuable anymore, which I find very hard to believe given their commitment to accessibility.

    Hi

Do you have the Elementor pro plugin on the site?

Hey @blueoaks , like you I didn’t find any button to exit the builder and go back the wordpress dashboard. But you can use your ESC button on your keyboard to open the exit menu on elementor builder.
I think it’s a strange way (and very bad for accessibility and UI/UX) of doing or I missed a simplier way but I had a look everywhere…
    I am using elementor pro

    I hoped it helps

@israelaz yes all sites I am experiencing this on have E-Pro. I always use E-Pro.

@cedricbonnard I did find the hotkey describing using the ESC key but I have found it does nothing other than dismiss whatever current dropdown menu happens to be open in the editor (if one is open) such as a dropdown list of fonts. Otherwise it does nothing.

Then I am sorry but the developer can’t support you here. They risk getting into real trouble if they support customers on this site. That’s not allowed for any company here.

For pro or commercial product support please contact the developer directly on their site. This includes any pre-sales topics as well.

As the developer is aware, commercial products are not supported in these forums. I am sure they will have no problem supporting you there.

Is the top bar experiment a Pro only feature?

its a simple yes or no question: with top bar active, is there an exit button or not?

I dont need support. I am not asking if something isn’t working. I am asking if the exit button is missing or not. Why is this hard for anyone from Elementor to answer?

It does not matter. Customers cannot be supported by any developer on this site.

If you are an Elementor Pro user, and I have no reason to believe you are not their paying customer as you said, then you need to avail yourself of the support option that you paid for.

Why would you not? You literally shelled out money for that and can get marquee service from the developer as their paying customer.

Support forum is not for support? This is completely beyond my understanding. Ok, screw these stupid rules. Is there a user here, NOT COMPANY, but a user who can answer if there is an exit button or not please?

    The answer is NO.

With Elementor free or pro, there is no button to open the exit menu. The only way is to click on the ESC/escape/echap… button on your keyboard to open the exit menu and then click the exit button.

You cant exit using the new top bar that I have found. The way I worked around this was to disable the new top bar under Elementor > Settings > Features. I hope that helps

@tyronebyrne thanks, it’s work for me. You save my day bro!

on topics like this i really see why its good to leave this crappy page builder…with lack of any support..i dont get even support on paid ticket system but just robot answers…there are plenty of plugin vendors who did an really AWESOME support job also outside their core boundaries loggin into ones project and just try to help accomplish any task..but expensive big vendors lack this so i am really upset with the behaviour here..but the decline of those page builders just have begun and the business model will fade away anyway…
