And a little other ‘problem’ with post-slider pictures. In Evolve 3.8.4 it grey out the picture a litte bit if you enter small display sizes and the text is an overlay of the picture so can better read the text. In Evolve 3.9.x the grey out for background pictures is missing and the text can’t be read. Can you tell me were to place the opacity in .css for the smaler sizes? I try to find it but miss it.

    @andreasl

On my local installation I use the WordPress Jetpack plugin and enable the media functions for faster picture loading and image caroussel.

can you show me a screenshot which option you mean?

Text background color for the post slider you can set under Posts Slider -> Slide Title Font Background Color and Slide Description Font Background Color , also you can set visibility of it -> Slide Title and Description Font Background Color Visibility (If Set)

I find out its the option Performance and Speed. Enable it and you see the problem. I marked it red in my german screenshot:

The slider settings seems different to me. Here a screenshot how it looks in 3.8.4 with tablet-size and grey out effect:

In 3.9.8 I have only option to set the font size and color but no option for the picture greyout or background:

The last two option ist for responsiv setting but only for visibility of the title. The title of the last selction box may be this what I search for but in the drop down Box I can only select the visibilitxy of the slider title too and not the options for background or color

@andreasl for the Jetpack image issue I will try to fix.

For the text background color you miss those options? https://prntscr.com/kyub8p

Thank you for looking into the Jetpack problem.

Yes, this option for setting background is still missing in my 3.9.8 version:

I try to reset the theme and work from scratch but the option doesn’t appears. I dont use any child theme.

But I dont like to change the background of the text/font. I like to dim out the picture witch becomes the becomes the background of smaler displays like in 3.8.4
Look at my exaples above. In 3.8.4 you use some kind of opacity to darken the featured image on smaler displays.

Setting a font background would be a small and fast workaround for a while but not a solution ??

    /update:
The options for the font background color shows up if I disable the post slider and re-enable it.

I update my public page to 3.9.9 and found a litte workaround for my post slider pictures.

After getting both options to set the color auf title and text and understand that there is an alpha channel setting I pick the background color of the post slider in full view and set the background font color to the same with alpha 0.40.

With this setting (example convert #273039 to rgba(39,48,57,0.4) for the first stock color schema) it looks better then without alpha background but not perfect ?? In full view the effect is not visible because its the same background color, if you you use smaler displays the effekt comes up visible.
