• Thanks for the new update. This is my list of bugs and things to improve:

    – Updated wpDiscuz on 5 websites and on all of them the plugin failed to activate automatically. Error: https://i.imgur.com/9ZWfdLj.png

    – I lost some of my customizations (colors and settings related to what shows on comment form, for example) and had to configure wpDiscuz again on 5 websites. This is bad, customizations should be kept from previous versions.

    – When subscriptions are not activated, this grey dotted line (div: wc_notification_checkboxes) bellow the “email field” is not needed: https://i.imgur.com/UaH5vDY.png

    – “Supercharge my comments” option worked well (I have between 1k and 50k comments on each website). I never had problems before with speed before, so can’t comment on these improvements.

    – This is not new, but wpDiscuz adds at least 8 new requests to each page load (3 css files, 5 js files) in the <head> section of the page, plus some images. I think there is room to improvement: small images can be embeded (and cached) in the css and some of the javascript can be served in only one file. I know this is not a problem for users using a computer on fast connections, but the world is not perfect lot’s of users have slow networks and bad hardware… and we have to think also on services like Google that seems to penalize slow websites.

    – Some adblocks like to hide icons from social networks… if someone is not seeing these icons in the options page, it’s probably your adblock. ??

That’s all. Thanks again for this update. ??

    Hi Celso,
Thank you very much for your feedback, we really appreciate it. We do our best to make wpDiscuz better every day.
wpDiscuz 3 has totally different core architecture. We’ve made lots of optimization in it. So the files have also been changed and this is the main reason of that error.

Regarding to CSS and JS files.
Those are different libs and we can’t merge. But we’ll make those as little as possible in next versions. You should not worry about that because those sizes are very small:

    fv.min.css | 4kb
    tooltipster.min.css | 7kb
    wpdiscuz.min.css | 23kb

    jquery.autogrowtextarea.min.js | 2kb
    jquery.cookie.min.js | 2kb
    jquery.tooltipster.min.js | 17kb
    validator.min.js | 5 kb
    wpdiscuz.min.js | 17kb

Total 77 KB can’t affect loading speed or make it penalized by Google. And those are being cached on all browsers. Even I’m not talking about WP Cache plugins and CDN. Those make it much more faster.
