The error message I received after discovering the plugin was missing from my installations and trying to reinstall…

    Destination folder already exists. …/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-popular-posts/

    Plugin install failed.

    Hi there!

That’s odd. Just updated the plugin on a couple of the sites I run and there were no issues.

    Destination folder already exists. …/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-popular-posts/

This sounds like something went wrong while WordPress downloaded the new version of WPP. Deleting the wordpress-popular-posts folder from your plugins directory and installing WPP again should fix the issue.

Give that a try and let me knowhow it goes, ok?

    Hi Hector

I got it resolved. Everything is back in working order.

Just a heads up in case anyone else runs into the same issue.

Plugin is working as it did before the update.

    Thanks!

Awesome, thanks for letting me know!

Actually, because of your report I found a minor (unrelated) bug. Might have to push another update hehe

For the time being, I’m marking this as resolved ??
