Hey everyone, Google has made some very significant changes to their pagespeed API and I’ve been working to update this plugin to use the latest version of their API.

NOTE: The changes in the latest version of Pagespeed are incompatible with previous reports generated by this plugin. Installing this beta will remove any existing pagespeed reports and snapshots!.

    To download:

    1. Navigate to the ‘advanced‘ view of this plugin
    2. Scroll to the bottom and look for the “PREVIOUS VERSIONS” heading
Select “4.0.0-beta1” from the list, and click download
    3. Once you have the beta zip, you can either uninstall your current version of this plugin and install the zip from the WP-Admin plugin manager, or you can manually replace the files in your plugins directory. Do whichever is more comfortable to you.

Please report back your findings, even if it is just to say that everything is working well for you. Please include:

    • Which version of WordPress you are using
    • If you are experiencing issues, please give detailed steps to reproduce the issue, include screenshots if helpful, and an example URL you are trying to report on
    • Sometimes servers will force a timeout on scans prematurely, if you are able to view your PHP or Apache error logs, this can sometimes help diagnose issues where scans do not complete all the way

Thank you in advanced to anyone who steps up to help test!

@mattkeys I’ve deleted your offer to login to your user’s site. I’m am 100% sure you mean well but please never ask for credentials on these forums.

Now for the why: The internet is a wonderful place full of very nice people and a few very bad ones. I’m sure everyone here is very nice however, by giving some ones keys to your house you are trusting they wont steal anything. Likewise the person who takes the keys is now responsible for the house FOREVER.

If something was to go wrong, then you the author may well legally become liable for damages, which they would not normally have been as their software is provided without warranty.

Please be aware that repeatedly asking for credentials will result in us asking you to repeatedly stop before escalating up to the plugins team.
