v5.12.0 pushes my sidebar to the bottom

    When I updated to v5.12.0, the Events page started pushing our sidebar off to the bottom of the page, as if the Events container had suddenly become wider by a very small amount. This happens with all views: List, Month, and Day. We need that sidebar to be next to the calendar because it has custom filters for event categories.
    I have been using the Default Page Template, which includes the sidebar. When I saw this problem, I tried most of the other page templates in Events>Settings>Display. The templates clearly switched, but all of them that include the sidebar have the same problem. Rolling back to earlier versions removes the problem.

  • I found this same problem on one of my sites that I just updated as well. At least in my case, it appears that the HTML being output by the plugin is missing a closing div tag somewhere. I looked in the Chrome Inspector and found that my sidebar was actually within the main content area div of the page when it should be outside of that div. I checked my template file and it was fine so I can only assume this new update introduced the issue. I put a random </div> right after the the_content() function in my template file and that seemed to work as a temporary fix. Hopefully, the developers will find and fix this issue as soon as possible.

    Thanks, Marho. I saw in the release notes that there had been a <div> missing from the Subscribe block, which explained the problem perfectly. I installed the new version of the plugin and it works just fine.
    I’m resolving this now.
