v6.2.3 still has heading issues

    Hello,
    Last time I tried to update from version 6.1 to 6.2 I reported issues with page heading showing a big random feature image at the top of the listing category page 4 weeks ago (https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/category-listings-show-1st-listing-title-at-top-of-page/).

    It was also showing the listing photo as a big feature photo when you go to view a listing. So I had to revert back to version 6.1 to correct it. You reported back you were able to reproduce the issue and it would be fixed in a future version.

    Well tonight I updated to version 6.2.3 as the change log seems to reflect the issue might of been fixed but it is still having these same issues so I had to revert back to version 6.1. I put a picture of each issue online for your view as my website is reverted back to version 6.1 that works correctly.

    I hope this is something that can be worked out, more so for the category view as I know that is really not working right.

    I look forward to a future fix for the categories view, hopefully sooner than later. ??

    As for the listing view, is that the new normal to show the first image associated with the listing as a big feature image?

    I just want to make sure that change on the list details is correct.

    You’re very welcome!

    For the listing view, we have a new setting for this. You can find this by going to Directory > Settings > Appearance > Images. From here, you can find the new option called Show Listing Thumbnail From.

    Hello,

    I noticed today you did another couple updates from the last time I checked and thought I would give it a try long with your suggestion on the “Show Listing Thumbnail Form”.

    There is still no changed with todays latest build of this plugin, and when viewing a listing it still shows the first image of the listing as the huge featured image. I did go into settings and ticked the various options for the “Show Listings Thumbnail Form” and none of them made a difference. Other than when I ticked WordPress Theme it showed the listing image as TWO featured images. haha

    As for the category view it is still showing a featured image of the very last listing on the category view page. With all this not working I went into the plugin and even switched templates, NO CHANGE. I went and disabled everything I could think of in “Appearance” under the plugin settings and still no change.

    If it would help I would be will to setup a staging site so you all could log in and see what I am dealing with in the event your not having this issue on your end. I once again reverted back to version 6.1 which is working 100% correctly for all display.

    Thanks for the update here. For some reason, I never got an email about your response, super sorry about that!

    So, the categories pages bug has been fixed on most themes, but it seems the issue still remains on block themes. That is something our developer is still looking into.

    As for the listing view, can you share what you have selected for the Show Listing Thumbnail From option? You can find this option under Directory > Settings > Appearance > Images. Setting this to Business Directory Plugin should remove the image from the top of the listing view.

    Good morning,

    I know this thread is several months old but I just wanted to follow up (maybe it will help someone else too).

    All the current versions of the Business Directory (v6.1 and on) produced the same issues stated above however we finally converted our website theme over to Extra by Elegant Themes and all the issues from version 6.1 on have gone away. I know our now previous theme ValentiVersion: 5.5.4 By Codetipi was older so glad to be running the latest build of Business Directory again with no issues (knock on wood)!!!
