    Katie, hello and thank you for continuing to support such a super-important plugin for me and my students! I just checked a site where I use Zotpress shortcodes on many pages, and it appears that for some reason the below shortcode ends up with default sort order as desc instead of asc:

    [zotpress tag="whatever"?sortby="author"]

    I have only one account set up under Options, and default citation style is Chicago Author-Date, thus not included in shortcode above.

    I can readily fix by editing each page (there will be on order two dozen) to include

    order="asc"

    So it’s no big deal, but wanted to point this out…many thanks.

    Jim P.

    Found the bug! This will be fixed in 7.0.2.

    Katie, sure appreciate your quick response to this one!…but not sure if it worked yet (just upped to 7.02). See for instance any axis link from this page (except Domain, to which I added order=): I swear I see the reference order display correctly for a fraction of a second, then it resorts in descending vs. ascending order. (I did clear my cache before checking.)

    Regards,

    Jim P.

    Can you contact me with your Zotero API id and key, plus some examples of shortcodes you’re using? I replicated the error using my own library and the sample shortcode pattern you provided, then fixed it for 7.0.2, so I can’t seem to replicate further errors on my end … https://katieseaborn.com/contact
