A user is getting this error message when she tries to login to the site.

    Missing chkAM /nfs/c04/h04/mnt/164865/domains/henpicked.net/html/wp-content/plugins/stop-spammer-registrations-plugin/modules/countries/chkAM.php

I can’t see any record of her trying to log in on the Log Report, so can’t diagnose any issues with her IP address, though this looks like something different.

Is this enough to go on, to tell me what might be wrong please Keith?

    Thanks!

  • You are missing a piece of Stop Spammers. It was either deleted or not installed.

    Try reinstalling the plugin.

You should really go to my website, blogseye.com, and download and install the beta version, which has some fixes.

Many thanks once again Keith. I struggle to understand how to install the beta version – I’ll ask my tech help to do that and meanwhile will reinstall the plugin.

    Best wishes,

    Nadine

It can also be that you have run out of memory and the module is not loading. Your web host may be stingy on memory.

If the plugin is still dying after a reinstall then try unchecking all the countries. The country checks are great, but they take up some memory.

Thanks Keith. The lady got in OK after I reinstalled the plugin, so my guess is the file was missing. We’ve also installed the beta version now. So far, so good. We just had someone from Cyprus and someone from Netherlands who couldn’t get in, as I’ve only unticked the UK. Might try so more if it also helps memory.
