• I’ve got my site set up just the way I want it (for now), but after validating at w3.org, and making the appropriate changes, the layout is pretty much destroyed.

This is the way I want it to look.

It’s just one </div> tag in my header template that I’m omitting, but without it, I get the old IE sidebar to the bottom problem.

After validating, the sidebar moves to the far left, the posts to the far right, and the white background is gone; everything is on black background.

Obviously I’m clueless about coding; can anyone point me in the right direction?

(Others might be more tolerant but I am not!)

Not to be mean, but I agree; noise-on-load ought to be a felony. It just screams, “MYSPACE!”

Hmm.. The validator says you need to close a div in the FOOTER, not header, right before the body.
Click on the error line number.
