I get the following two errors when I try to enter a new listing:
    Listing type must be set
Address does not appear to be valid

It doesn’t really matter which listing type I pick, (Residential Sale) or otherwise. I’ve also tried various ‘valid’ addresses of real properties and always get the same ‘address does not appear to be valid’.

    Hi tarheit2,

Are you entering addresses located in the USA or in another country?

I get the following error when I try to enter a new listing:
    Listing type must be set

It doesn’t really matter which listing type I pick, (Residential Sale) or otherwise.

United states. Tried many different addresses of real properties. It always displays ‘listing type must be set.’ regardless of what type is selected. It may or may not give ‘address does not appear to be valid’ even on the same address.

    Hi tarheit2,

Can you give an example of an address that you are experiencing issues with?

Could you also indicate which version of the plugin you are using (the current version at this time is 1.1.18)?

I just installed placester today and I get the exact same issue. No matter what I do I always get the “Listing type must be set”. I’m using 1.1.18

I’m testing my site with https://localhost if that makes a difference.

fyi. I did get a response when I emailed support. They suggested logging into your plasterer account and enter the listings there instead. They had no solution how to enter them in the plugin and said to send screenshots if the problem continues (which I had already done in the email that they replied to)

Thanks for the info tarheit2. Placester, here is a screenshot of 3 different attempts without any luck.

Thanks for the info. I am trying to recreate the issue. Tarheit, what email address do you use when contacting support? I want to see what has already been discussed.

    Localhost shouldn’t make much difference.

Can you give an example of an address that does not work? I cannot at this moment recreate a failed attempt. What version of wordpress are you on? and what version of PHP are you on?

Ahh, wait, are you using WordPress 3.6?

At Placester we want to ensure that our plugin works perfectly without any issues. WordPress 3.6 was just recently released and the kinks are still getting worked out on this new release. We are currently working on an update of our plugin that functions perfectly with WordPress 3.6 and will release it here as soon as everything looks good. At that time we will also update the description on the front page to show that it is compatible with 3.6. Right now it is compatible up to 3.5.2.

Its been a few days and wanted to let you know this has been solved. We will spend some more time ensuring that 3.6 is working well across all the features, but so far its looking good. And adding listings is looking great.

Address does not appear to be valid ???
    WordPress 3.9.1

    Please remove this validation
