Validation only allow letters

Hi all,
I want to validate that first and last name only includes letters and nothing other (e.g. “-.?”).
I tried english letters only, aplhanumeric and alphabet validation. Did not work. I could still register with all different kinds of symbols in the field.How can I only allow letters?
