There is a function called scrollToError() located within wpforms.js which is rightly causing the form to scroll to the errors on submit or whilst using the multi-step form.

Is there a way of disabling this function?

I have a form which is embedded within a popup, and there is an issue on error validation that is causing the page beneath the form to scroll. The contact form is housed within a ‘position: fixed’ window, which is probably causing the scrolling issue. This is necessary from a styling point of view, I was just wondering if there was any way that the scrollToError() function could globally be disabled.

I cannot seem to override this, nor dequeue and re-enqueue the wpforms.js file.

  • Hello @baines14,

    Thanks for writing in.

When you get the chance, can you please provide the URL of the page where we can see the form so that we can check it?

    Thank you.

We haven’t heard back from you in about a week, so I’m going to go ahead and close this thread for now. But if you’d like us to assist further, please feel welcome to continue the conversation.
