• Just updated the MailChimp plugin and attempted to refresh the list. I attempted but it is prompting for a username and password. We use MailChimp integrated into Google Apps for Nonprofits and never really “signed up” except via the integration with the Google ID system. With the old version of the plugin we used the API key.

How can we get this working?

    Thanks!

    Jim

  • Hey Jim,

Thanks for posting! Great question. MailChimp actually offers the ability for users to create a username and password for their Google Apps-enabled accounts. This allows users to login through oAuth apps, as well as the general MailChimp login page if they please. Additionally, their Google Apps connection will all remain in tact.

To set up a username and password for your account, you’ll want to login to your MailChimp account and follow the directions in this article here:

Can I log in to MailChimp with a username and password if I use Google Apps?: https://eepurl.com/cIYzU

Once that’s been setup, you should have a username and password which the new plugin will accept through the oAuth login screen.

If you have any questions or run into any issues, let us know!
