Validation with Front-End Editors

I installed the plugin looking for the validation tools. Everything works great when updating a post from the back-end. However, I have the Front-End Editor plugin installed and the validation rules fail to be activated when updating a custom field from the front-end. Not only does it not give an error, but it lets it save it with the incorrect type of input.
