Variable Pricing and File size

  • I am doing a demo on my hosting right now…I have the following plugins installed…. EDD, EDD Purchase Rewards, EDD Variable Defaults, EDD Variable Pricing Descriptions….It is not clear to me how I assign a price to a certain resolution that a customer would download…I created various pricing based on pixel count, but it does not seem the plugin actually interprets my file size for that particular download. I am sure I am missing something….or do you have a paid plugin that does that? I want to be able to set up a range of pricing options based on pixel count categories and then when I upload files of various sizes it will interpret accordingly. I might be uploading one 6636px file but the customer only orders something that is no larger than 500px.

  • Hi there. EDD will not recognize the details of your file and set the files to variable pricing options for you. Instead, you create your desired variable pricing options and then upload files for assigned to the options you’d like.

    So you could create Option A, Option B, and Option C. Then once you upload your files, there’s a selection for the Price Assignment you’d like each particular file to apply to.
