Variable product is added as simple

    Hello!

    There is a multisite with two versions:
    – English https://spicyherbs.online/
    – German https://spicyherbs.online/de/

    All products on the sites are variable. They differ in packaging (weight) and, accordingly, in price.
    In the German version, variable items are added to the cart as simple items. Without weight indication (more precisely, with zero instead of weight) and with a minimum price.

    Accordingly, the product variation is not included in the order, and the shipping cost is calculated incorrectly.

    Everything works fine on the main (English) version of the site with the same theme and the same plugins. Variations are displayed, the weight of the cart is reported and shipping is calculated.

    Please, help me understand what the problem is.

    Hi @alexdanilenko

    Are you using a plugin to create the multisite in different languages? If so, I suspect the issue happening is due to the plugin, rather than WooCommerce. I’d recommend reaching out to the developer of the plugin being used and let them know what is happening on the German site with the variations being added to the cart as simple products.

    No plugin was used for creating a multisite. Only by means of WordPress

    Could you please share a copy of the German site’s System Status? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status.
    Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.? Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.

    It was working, when I’m loged in…

    I tried english version in Incognito mode and beeing loged off, and it makes the same mistake as the german one. It does not see that product is variable

    I am totally confused (

    Hi @alexdanilenko. I took a look at your site and noticed that the issue still exists. What happens if you change the theme to Storefront instead of Storefront Child? You can use the Health Check plugin to do this if you’d like to be able to troubleshoot without affecting your live site.

    Thanks a lot!

    I followed the procedure for conflicts finding and have found a php snippet that made this mess…

    It was moving all scripts from <head> to footer for SEO purposes. And, apparently, it violated the order of connecting scripts and jQuery.

    I removed it and now everything is working properly.
