variable product will not show if not saved as a simple product first

May be obvious, but when adding variations, are you setting them to in stock and giving them prices?

Yes, they have stock and prices in the variations. And if I change a product that is not showing to simple, save it, and then change it back to variable, it appears in the shop.

Question; (I think I know whats causing this, this will confirm it), if you make a new variable product with several variations and see the issue, does it appear if you change one of the variations inside to outofstock and save? Don’t change type.

We’re seeing the same (or very similar) issue on https://www.artpapersonline.com

Last week products were working.

Now, some (I haven’t checked to see if it’s all or not, since we have 5000 SKUs) products with variations are showing as out of stock – even though the manage stock field is NO and all the variations are marked as In Stock.

Product export verifies the settings we expected to see.

I had the same issue – all my variable products with over 20 variations showed up as “out of stock” on the detail page. The error is theme dependent and had my IT support change the following and all is in order….

We have updated to the latest version of WooCommerce and this issue has still not been resolved. Can you please advise as what might be causing this that we could change on our side?
