For a product with three attributes that have 16, 8, and 10 options, do you seriously expect me to do this amount of clicking and waiting?
Hit “add variants automatically” 26 times,
Click OK 26 times to add 50 variants each time,
    Wait… wait… wait…
    Click Expand all,
    Click Save,

For each of the added products:
Click Virtual (because it does not inherit Virtual from the main product),
    Enter the price,

For each of the short pages with variants, click > to the next page.

That is 1280 price increments that have to be remembered between hundreds of pages. And I have many products like this. Nothing extraordinary, just 3 possible dimensions of sizes.

There should be a better attribute pricing model. Look at ZenCart where attribute pricing is flexible and convenient.

The idea of piggy-backing on… blog posts for a store… is wow, seriously, wow!

  • Hi @rjrjrjrj

I understand as you are dealing with a huge number of variations with your products, you are facing some inconvenience.

Selecting “Create variations from all attributes” will create every possible combination of variations from your attributes and their values, but up to a maximum of 50 per run. If you have more possible combinations, you can run it again. You can find the details here: https://woocommerce.com/document/variable-product/#add-variations

You can post a feature-request to increase this limit. You can submit a request on our Ideas Board and add your vote(s) to it. The more popular an idea becomes, the more of a priority it is for our developers to review it. You can find the Ideas Board here.

    Thanks for repeating my observations.
Now I know that you have “ideas board”. Great!
