Variable Products Not Working

I have successfully uploaded non variable products and the variable products seem to all be uploaded now too, however the size variations don’t seem to be working and I have tried everything to get it to work.
The size select on the variable product has no options in the drop down menu even though the attributes exist. Also, the title of the variable attribute appears wrong on the product (it says pa_sizes instead of just sizes).
