• We’ve been approached by someone to help with this issue.

About 10 times a day, the price displayed of one of the products (only 4 in the website) will disappear from display.
If you look at the products list in the admin area, it shows a “-” and no price.

You can edit the product, simply click update and it appears again.

    They are all variable products.

    It only started happening recently.

From further investigation, looking in the database, for some reason the field _price in the postmeta table is blank suddenly. If we edit and simply update the product, it re-populates this field again.

    Can you help?

  • I have the exact same issue, and there seem to be a few other threads experiencing it too.

Hi dear! I’ve the same issue! Do you find some solution? Thanks!

Hi Nicola, I do! It seems to be a bug when variable products are out of stock and you are hiding out of stock items from the catalogue.

    Solution:

Go to Woocommerce > Settings > Products Tab > Inventory > and then untick “Hide out of stock items from the catalogue”

Once you have done this, you can simply “bulk edit” your products (without changing anything), click save, and the product price will re-appear – and it won’t go away! It will also allow you to enter new products that are out of stock or have inventory of 0.

The only downside is that you will have to use a CSS workaround if you want to hide products on the front end if out of stock.

    Hope that helps.

    Ben
