    Hi,

On our ecommerce shop (Woo commerce) we have “variable products” which are showing as “This product is currently out of stock and unavailable” even though the stock status on each variant is set as “In stock”

    why is this happening?

    thanks

@gbsl Is the parent product itself in stock or out of stock? If you have Manage stock checked under the variations, do you have a positive inventory set?

Also, do the variations have prices associated with them?

I do not believe the variable products are linked to a parent product?

how do i check if positive inventory is set?

the variations do not have prices set – but neither do any of the other products and they are working correctly.

@gbsl The parent product would be the variable product, and the children are the variations.

If you are using Manage Stock for the variations, then there would be a Stock field that would need to have 1 or more set:

If variations do not have regular prices set, then they will not be available for purchase on the front end.

    Hi

we do not have the option to manage stock as seen in the image you’ve displayed above?
Virtual is the last option displayed.

we do not require purchase because we are not using that function, we just want our customers to be able to add items to their basket in order to request a quote.

You will need something like this if you are wanting to have quotes being served from your store:

One of the checks WooCommerce does is check to see if a product has a price, if it does not, it is set as not purchasable. This is why your products are showing as unavailable.

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.

I have same issue. Here are the setting screenshot.

Make sure the variable products have pictures. Added the pictures and it resolved our problem.

I have the same issue: variations with stock manage, stock quantity, price, picture, etc, do not work anyway with stock 1 (shown “out of stock”) but with stock 2 (shown “in stock”)

There is another OUT Of STOCK issue which is kind of weird.

Product shows “IN STOCK” when I import them but as soon as I GO inside the product and hit the update button with/without making any changes on product it will set the product “OUT of STOCK”.

Temporary and very time consuming fix is Edit–>Variation–>Select any variation and uncheck manage stock and check it again and update. This will again show your products back “IN STOCK”.

This is very time consuming task which means if I will import 100 product then manually I have to go inside each product and uncheck and check back the manage stock button to fix.

Any clue why updating the product would cause “OUT of STOCK”. Please help.

Same situation in my site ??

I found a definitive solution … I returned to Magento after 4 years spending hundreds of dollars on woocommerce plugins to have basic features that do not come in the core ??

    I found my solution here
“WooCommerce Variable Products all showing out of stock: Sorry, this product is unavailable. Please choose a different combination.”
    https://www.sotechdesign.com.au/woocommerce-variable-products-showing-stock-sorry-product-unavailable-please-choose-different-combination/

@maubayuelo I just tried this solution but nothing happens either.

The most incredible thing is that the same problem may have to be solved differently by different users and, nevertheless, those solutions do not work for the rest equally.

The really remarkable thing is that there is no response from the woocommerce team all these months

    thanks anyway ??

All of these replies have been on a thread that has been marked as resolved, resolved threads are not checked for new replies as it is not possible for staff to keep up. If new threads were created then each new thread would have been addressed.
