If I set my variable stock to 10, after one order I receive emails saying “Articulate Funky T – Black – Medium (ART-B1) is out of stock.”

And “1 units of Articulate Funky T – Black – Medium (ART-B1) have been back-ordered in order #5297.”

If I then check the manage stock section on the variable it says “-1”.

    Any idea why this is?

    Thanks

    Hi @articulatesound

Can you confirm there are no unpaid orders that could be holding stock? If not, can you provide us your parent and variation stock settings so we can try to replicate the issue?

    Hey @johndcoy

Nope there aren’t any unpaid orders as far as i’m aware of anyway.

Currently have the “Enable stock management at product level” turned off.

In variations have manage stock turned on with 2 left in each stock of each size (medium, large, xtra large).

It seems as though it’s perfectly fine stock wise until something is actually brought (in which case the stock value on the variation goes to -1 instead of 1 (from 2).

    Thanks @articulatesound

Could you try switching back to a default theme like Twenty Seventeen and disable all plugins except for WooCommerce. Then, create a new variable product and add variations to it, to see if the issue persists with the newly created product.

Please let us know what you find.

    Hey again @johndcoy

Tried switching to twenty seventeen, went through all my plugins and they were all fine. Switched back to my theme and have found the problem re-occur again. Not really too sure where to go from here though!

    Hi @articulatesound

Did you try making a new product when conflict testing another theme and all other plugins deactivated?

    (@articulatesound)

Hey, Ye I did indeed! made a test product with 10 stock in each variable. Worked perfectly fine with all plugins enabled until I turned the original theme I had back on

    Hi @articulatesound

Thanks for letting us know. There likely is an issue with that product in the database that your host could help with, but we’d suggest using the new product.

    @johndcoy

Sorry bit of confusion! The “new” product worked perfectly fine on the twenty seventeen theme, however when I change back to my spectra theme it doesn’t work again and is out of stock.

    Hi @articulatesound

I am sure if you reach out to the theme author, they can take a closer look at why their theme is causing conflicts.

Did you by chance import these products?

Check this discussion out. Not sure if it relates but it’s worth a shot. Sounds eerily familiar to yours.
