Variables Bug???

    Hi Again,
    A little bug with the Google Shopping Feed and Variables.

    Variations in the product feed seem to import the main (Parent Product) as well. This isn’t expected. Usually only variations are imported.

    EG:
    Car
    Car Red
    Car Blue
    Car Green

    It is strange that Car is presented as a product as the real products are Car Red, Car Blue and Car Green.

    I hope this makes sense.

    However, have you submitted the feed in the merchant center and did it return an error message?

    No there is no error, but it doesn’t resolve the problem that the plugin is creating a feed with non-existent products which will damange SEO in the long run. It’s a real shame because the plugin is fantastic but there are still some key issues that stop you from using it in several scenarios.

    This is one of the key issues with regards to Google Feeds, the other is the the identify_exists.

    In that case I am happy to report that I have just released version 1.4.5 of the plugin that solves this issue ??
