    Hi,
Is it possible for a variant product to be broken down into several other products upon adding to the cart? I managed to achieve this solution with grouped products, but the client wishes to retain the variability within the product.

  • Hey there, @vannabe! Thanks for contacting us. I’m happy to help you.

Do you mind sharing more details about your goal so we can look for a solution?

Can you share an example of the variable product and how your client wants it to show on the cart?

    Looking forward to your reply.

    Have a wonderful day!

Hi, Sorry for the delay in response. The main point is that in this product, after selecting the variants, it should split into 4 different ones in the cart. I hope this is clear because it’s hard to explain.

    Hi @vannabe,

I’m not sure I’m following. Even if you purchae variations from variable products, they should each be split into a separate product in the cart, for instance I just added a red and a blue one for you to see: https://prnt.sc/NdhIV7SOPT_L.

That’s the expected behavior, and that’s the WooCommerce’s default behavior, too. Am I missing something? If you can share further details, if possible including screenshots to further illustrate your point, that’d be great!

    Thanks!

    Hi @omarfpg ,

It’s more about the fact that a variant product encompasses several other products within it, and on the product page, it appears as one, but in the cart, it breaks down into several others. For example, let’s say there’s one variant, blue, which includes several additional products within it.

    Hey, @vannabe!

    Thank you for the clarification.

From what I understand according to your explanation, I believe you would be able to achieve your goal with a plugin such as Product Bundles.

We do have other bundle options on our market place, in case you want to take a look you can find them at https://woocommerce.com/. All plugins there are supported by us ??

If you want to check other options outside our marketplace, you can search for “woocommerce product bundles“, or something similar, on the Plugins > Add New section of your dashboard or on a search engine like Google, for example.

Please note that we do not provide support for third-party plugins, so it is good to check the plugin thoroughly to see if it is reliable. You can find more about this in this guide.

I hope this was clarifying. Please let us know if there’s anything else we can do to help or if you have any questions.

    Have a wonderful day!
